Scott Murray, the proud founder and owner of

The Excelsior Sporting Club, has been involved

with boxing for over 40 years.

A former amateur boxing champion, who has also hosted hundreds of amateur boxing shows and Boxing Celebrity Dinner Shows at his own venue in Staffordshire. Scott has worked with all the leading boxing legends and sports personalities over the years including Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes,  Marvelous Marvin Hagler, Anthony Joshua,
Ray ‘Boom Boom’ Mancini, Vinny Paz, Barry McGuigan,
Henry Cooper and Pelé to name just a few.

He now holds a professional boxing promoters license

issued by the British Boxing Board of Control.

Jon Pegg is one of the UK’s leading Boxing Matchmakers,
licensed by the British Boxing Board of Control.

A former amateur and professional boxer, Jon has promoted over 100 shows, Matched over 300 professional shows and also managed and trained boxers from the Midlands area level to world titles.

He has been involved in fights of the year, currently manages over 40 boxers and is highly regarded in the professional boxing community.

He is a regular boxing pundit for BBC Sports Inside Sport and BBC Radio Five Live Fighting Talk, and is leading presenter for BT Sports Boxing. He has regular column in Boxing News and The Independent.

Richie Woodhall, is the former British, Commonwealth, European Champion & WBC Super Middleweight World Champion, who also won Gold at the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Auckland and Bronze at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.

Following his retirement from the sport, Richie has developed a successful broadcasting career with both the BBC and BT Sport as one of their main boxing pundits on both television and radio. He currently co-commentates with Steve Bunce on all BT Sport televised Boxing shows.

Ray Mancini, an American former professional boxer who competed from 1979 to 1992 and who has since worked as an actor and USA Sports Commentator.

He held the WBA World Lightweight Title from 1982 to 1984, was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015, and who’s fascinating life story was portrayed in the book & the film ‘The Good Son”.

A boxing historian with an exciting charismatic personality, Ray is highly respected in the boxing world.
